Resources, Tools & Skills: Trauma Part 3 is LIVE!

Can you believe March is here already? I feel like 2024 just began and here we are almost through the first quarter. Time, slooooow dooown. Pretty please.

I really hope you've listened to the last couple episode's of our trauma series. Meghann is a wealth of knowledge and has given us such a gift in sharing with us. Over the last two week's we have given you so. much. information. Information overload, I am sure.

I think it has set a really great foundation for this week, which answers the questions:

  • What do we do with all this information?
  • What do we do with all this learning?
  • Where do we start?
  • How do we start better coping and using this information for good?

this week's
episode:

Trauma Resources for the Special Needs Mom

with Meghann Crane - Russ

  • Trying to use words to change your triggered self is NOT going to work. Ever try that with your kiddo? Successful? No way. It's the same with us. We need to speak in the language our body understands.
  • Self-regulating is done by yourself and co-regulating is when you help someone else regulate their nervous system or you regulate together.
  • If you have trauma, the coping skills we recommend may be different than what you have been using before.
  • Lastly, but certainly not least, you can't talk yourself out of trauma. Your body has to learn a new way to find safety.

Make sure you head on over to your favorite podcast platform and learn how you can start to take back your life.
